The Autumn School will provide a systematic overview of application of neutrons and synchrotron radiation to the structural analysis of engineering materials. Students and young scientists from research and industry from all of Europe interested in this field are welcome to participate.

The school will take place from 31st of August to 4th of September 2009 in Lauenburg near Hamburg. The participants will spend two days doing neutron experiments at GKSS and synchrotron experiments at HASYLAB/DESY.

The participation fee is 350 €. It includes accomodation and food for the duration of the school as well as the book "Neutrons and Synchrotron Radiation in Engineering Materials Science" which has resulted from previous autumn schools with the same title.

The school is supported by the Virtual Institute IPSUS which is coordinated by GKSS. We expect to be able to provide NMI3 financial support for up to 10 students from EU countries outside Germany.
